Mubarak Gul demands upgradation of electricity transformers in Eidgah Constituency | KNO

Srinagar, January 29 (KNO) : Senior National Conference (NC) leader and former MLA Eidgah, Haji Mubarak Gul on Tuesday raised the issue of electricity transformers with Chief Engineer PDD Kashmir Hashmat Qazi. Gul as per a statement issued to KNO said that in winter season, localities of Eidgah Constituency reel under darkness due to damaged transformers every now and then. He said that population in Eidgah Constituency is growing day by day, many new colonies are being developed so the needs of people are also increasing and to fulfill the requirements of people upgradation of basic facilities is must. Gul further appealed the public to judiciously use electricity and stop waste of energy. He urged upon the Governor's Administration to put an end to power woes in the constituency so that people would get some respite in this chilling weather. He was assured by the concerned authority that the existing transformers will be replaced with upgraded 650 KV, 300 KV, 200 KV in Shunglipora, Bank Colony Palpora, Goripora, Noorbagh and other areas of Eidgah Constituency and damaged transformers will be repaired within three days time.(KNO)
